This course is tailored for supervisors and higher-level personnel responsible for maintaining workplace safety and regulatory compliance. It focuses on developing safety leadership, ensuring hazard control measures, and integrating Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) principles into day-to-day operations. Emphasis is placed on proactive risk management, incident prevention strategies, and effective communication with teams. By enhancing supervisory accountability, the course builds a strong safety culture across departments and job sites. Participants will be equipped to identify hazards early, promote safe behavior, and handle site-based emergencies confidently while meeting company and legal safety requirements.

What Will You Learn?
  • Participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of occupational health and safety laws, supervisory responsibilities, and workplace hazard identification techniques. The course covers safety management systems, risk assessment, job safety analysis (JSA), and hierarchy of controls. Learners will explore emergency planning, first response coordination, fire safety basics, and the implementation of permit-to-work systems. Communication strategies for safety briefings, toolbox talks, and behavior-based safety (BBS) are also included. Participants will understand accident causation models, reporting procedures, and how to promote a safety-first culture. Upon completion, supervisors will be empowered to lead with confidence, ensuring compliance and reducing workplace incidents.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of site operations and at least 1 year of field-level supervisory experience preferred.
