This course is developed to ensure safe handling, storage, and disposal of chemicals and hazardous materials while protecting people and the environment. It addresses regulatory compliance, hazard communication, spill control, and emergency preparedness. Participants are introduced to environmentally responsible chemical management techniques, including containment, labeling, and waste handling protocols. It’s designed to minimize workplace incidents and environmental damage caused by poor chemical handling practices. Real-life incidents are shared to reinforce best practices and enhance awareness.

What Will You Learn?
  • You will learn how to safely store, label, and transport hazardous substances using environmental best practices. The course includes understanding Safety Data Sheets (SDS), classification of chemicals, segregation of incompatible substances, and fire hazard control. It teaches containment procedures, secondary spill containment, personal protective equipment (PPE) use, and how to respond to leaks and emergencies. Learners will also explore environmentally sound disposal methods and regulatory requirements under environmental protection laws. The training enhances awareness of long-term environmental and health consequences of chemical misuse. Upon completion, participants will be confident in reducing chemical-related risks and ensuring environmentally compliant workplace practices.
